Welcome to my new website – Aussie Dukan! My name is Nikki G and I hope you can join me on my Dukan journey.
There has been a lot written in the media about The Dukan Diet of late. It was reported that Kate Middleton’s amazing figure was the result of adhering to this particular diet and that’s what got me interested. Well, that and the fact that I had heard that you never go hungry on The Dukan Diet!
The Dukan Diet may be restrictive in terms of what you can eat but the great news is that you can eat as much as you like, as often as you want from a long list of high protein foods. I started the Dukan Diet prior to Christmas last year and stuck to the plan for 13 days. Over this period, I lost just over 2 kilos. I was ecstatic and felt that the results were the fastest and most genuine of any diet I have ever tried. Then Christmas and New Year got in the way…Yep, I managed to put those 2 kilos pretty quickly with some serious over indulgence! So here I am in January 2012 ready to commit to the plan until I reach my goal weight.
I have tried a lot of diets in the past. Previously I found the Weight Watchers plan to be a success but in recent years I didn’t feel that it was working as effectively for me. It could be a combination of things – hitting my early thirties, having a baby and perhaps my body just got too used to doing the same thing…
So, it’s time to shake things up! Let’s hope The Dukan Diet is the answer. Please join me and feel free to leave comments.

Start Weight – 69.6kg (commenced diet 2nd January 2012)
Goal Weight – 65.5kg (hope to achieve this 2nd February 2012)
